Account and security
JARVIS uses Manus OAuth for sign-in. The app stores the account identifier, display name, email when supplied, a hashed application-session token and its expiry in the project database. OAuth access tokens are not stored by JARVIS. AI, provider and memory APIs require an authenticated app session.
AI requests and provider keys
When you send a chat prompt, it is forwarded to the selected model provider (the managed Manus AI runtime or OpenAI when you explicitly enter an OpenAI API key). The key is held only in the current browser session and is passed through the JARVIS server to OpenAI; JARVIS does not save or log it. Chat history shown in the page is not automatically added to JARVIS memory. The provider receives and processes the request under its own service terms and retention policy.
Saved memory
A note is written to the per-user managed database only when you explicitly save it. The app offers lexical search, export and deletion for those notes and a selectable retention period of up to ten years. JARVIS currently does not connect a semantic vector database or create memory embeddings. Database and backup lifecycle is governed by the hosting platform.
Microphone and speech
The microphone remains off until you press Start recording and approve the browser permission. You can stop, review, transcribe or discard the clip. Audio is sent to the managed transcription service only after you choose Transcribe clip; JARVIS does not save the audio or transcript as memory automatically. Speech output is generated by the browser only after you press a Speak button. Stop cancels active speech.
Camera and image understanding
Camera permission is requested only after you press Start camera. The preview is local to the page; captured snapshots remain in page memory unless you explicitly press Analyze snapshot. That request sends the frame to the JARVIS managed vision model for processing. JARVIS does not write camera frames to its object storage or database. JARVIS does not offer face identification, biometric profiling, emotion scoring or background monitoring. The AI platform/provider may process the image under its own terms.
Browser storage and analytics
The PWA service worker caches static application-shell and offline assets only; it does not cache account APIs, chat, saved memory, recordings or camera snapshots. Project-level hosting analytics are enabled for this site and may process technical/usage information under Manus hosting terms. The Made with Manus badge is hidden; hiding the badge does not disable hosting analytics.
Your choices and contact
You control whether to sign in, send prompts, save notes, record audio, request transcription, start the camera, capture a frame, or send a frame for analysis.
